Description
This Holly King art print is available as an aluminum metal print (4x6 to 20x30 in) or archival fine art paper print (4x6 to 24x30 in), made to order in the USA — a natural pick for Yule and solstice altars, pagan and witchy home decor, and folklore readers. The crowned winter king appears in deep red robes with horns rising above the hood, holding out a lit candle surrounded by berries and greenery.
He is the older figure standing behind the modern one. The candlelight against the red robes holds its warmth for years, which makes it as much a solstice piece as a Christmas one.
Does this print come framed? No. Every print ships unframed. Frames and styling shown in the photos are for display only and are not included.
Who is the Holly King? In modern pagan tradition the Holly King rules the waning half of the year and is defeated by the Oak King at the winter solstice, when the days begin lengthening again. Much of his imagery, the red robes and evergreen crown, carried over into Father Christmas.

Just fell in love w/this when I bought a smaller size 4 a Yule swap......had 2 have 1 4 myself 2 bring the Holly King 2 my sacred space.....He reigns above my altar 4 his 1/2 of the year! Will definitely shop here again!
The picture quality is top notch. I love how the light reflects! It's exactly what we expected, print wise.
The metal itself is quite a bit thinner than my other metal prints but I can glue some high density foam board to the back to stabilize the picture.
