Description

This Highly Trained Belsnickel warning sign puts the fur clad Christmas visitor on guard duty, with a red WARNING header and the fine print “Not Responsible for Discipline or Resulting Trauma.” It’s printed directly on rust proof aluminum for a front door, porch, or mantel.

Who is Belsnickel? Belsnickel is a gift bringer from the folklore of the German Palatinate who came to Pennsylvania with Pennsylvania Dutch settlers. Dressed in ragged furs, he visits before Christmas with treats for good children and a switch for naughty ones.

Is Belsnickel the same as Krampus? No. Krampus is a horned creature from Alpine folklore who travels with Saint Nicholas and only punishes. Belsnickel works alone and both rewards and scolds, so he’s a little more forgiving.

Every sign ships flat in a rigid fiberboard mailer or a heavy duty box to prevent bending. Orders are printed in Henniker, NH and leave the studio within 1 to 2 business days. Standard shipping by USPS Ground is free on US orders of $50 or more and $5.95 on smaller orders. Need it sooner? Choose USPS Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express at checkout.
