Description
A fitting gift for readers who think in metaphors, this symbolic art print is available as an aluminum metal print (4x6 to 20x30 in) or archival fine art paper print (4x6 to 24x30 in), made to order in the USA, and belongs in home libraries and dark academia studies.
It crowns a queen with a ring of books rather than gold, a cup of dark wine in her hand and a blindfold covering her eyes — closer to a statement about knowledge and judgment than a simple portrait. The book crown holds its intrigue against the dark, moody surroundings for years.
Does this print come framed? No. Every print ships unframed. Frames and styling shown in the photos are for display only and are not included.
Why pair a crown of books with a blindfold specifically? The combination plays on the idea of justice being blind, reworked here as knowledge itself being blind, suggesting that having read everything does not necessarily mean seeing clearly.

Print on metal is lovely in real life, although it doesn’t have the depth of an oil painting. Colors are good, and the metal is sturdy and easy to frame. Looking forward to hanging it in my library
