Description

Authorized to investigate Appalachia’s quietest legend

If your idea of a perfect weekend involves hiking North Carolina’s mountain trails with binoculars “just in case,” this Knobby Search Permit Wallet Card gives you semi-official clearance to investigate one of the Appalachian region’s most well-known forest legends. Sighted around the foothills and Blue Ridge areas since the 1970s, Knobby has earned a reputation as Bigfoot’s quieter, more elusive cousin, spotted by hikers, hunters, and campers who heard far too many twigs snap behind them.

Printed on a premium metal wallet card, this permit adds field-investigator credibility to your backpack, trail map, and questionable decision to follow footprints off the marked path. Flash it on the trail, keep it in your wallet like a park ranger credential, or gift it to the outdoor enthusiast who insists they could totally survive out there.

If there's no customization field on that listing, email us with your details and we'll let you know if we can accommodate your request.
For most walls, a 9x12 in or 12x18 in sign works well as a focal point, while 16x24 in and larger suit bigger walls or garage doors. Smaller 6x6 in or 8x8 in sizes are popular for mailboxes, gates, or gift-sized pieces — check the size chart on each listing for exact placement guidance.
With their UV-protective coating and rustproof aluminum construction, our signs are built to stay vibrant outdoors for years through sun, rain, and snow without fading, cracking, or rusting.
